I have changed my password a total of three times already! Not once have I remembered it.

Today I finally watched the greatness which is The Dark Knight. It really was an amazing movie. My only problem with it was the length. I thought it would never end – not that I wanted it to. There were some things I didn’t quite understand. What happened to the Asian guy in charge of all the investments? Did he seriously die on top of all the money after the Joker burned it?

Afterward, my friends and I walked around the mall. It still ended up being a split between the boys and girls. How funny.

I went home and realized I had lost my cell phone. As I searched and determinedly tore apart the house looking for it, I simply could not find it. It turns out my dad knew where it was all along (in his car) and decided he could “teach [me] a lesson” by hiding it. Well, the phone rang, and I found it. What pishposh!

Note to self: I owe Eric $7.25.

School is almost here. This year I’m not blowing it off. Freshman year ruined my academic career. It’s time to get serious (no pun on the Joker).

WHY is my time setting on my blog so messed up?

JEEZ Thursday, Jul 17 2008

fuck bitch ass FUCK

I say curse words at the most inappropriate moments, and I am going to STOP, starting NOW. It’s so unflattering and unladylike, and being inspired by an episode of MADE (shutup, it was amazing) has slapped those realizations in my face. I WILL stop. There’s so much to do in one month! I still haven’t read Pride and Prejudice or registered for driver’s ed yet, let alone done any decent working out. I’ve gotten myself sick, my layers are really not a big deal (yeah I’m not over it, SO WHAT), and despite all that, this is the best summer ever. Since my parents have realized that I’m actually not 6 years old anymore, they’ve been a bit loser on how much I can go hang with the friends. Although, I’m not allowed to date until I’m 50. Thanks Mom and Dad! My cousin-to-be has invited me to a bridal expo! I’m not sure what to expect, but it sounds pretty exciting! My friend Eric has invited me to watch The Dark Knight with a bunch of friends in celebration of his birthday, but it turns out another guy we all know has his birthday on the same day and has invited a lot of the people Eric has. That’s unfortunate. I’m sick of going to the mall. It’s no fun if you are broke and can’t buy anything! I can’t believe time is flying so quickly. In about a year I’ll be going job hunting! It seems like many people turn to lifeguarding over the summer. That would be totally awesome if I could actually swim properly and not be self conscious about my pubescent tween body (haha). I was thinking about the friends I have, and I’ve realized some of them are more like acquaintances – even the ones I’ve considered my BFFLS for a very long time. They don’t know much about my life, and I don’t know much about theirs. I feel like we hang out because we’d have no other place to go if we weren’t friends with each other. It sounds superficial, but that’s how I feel. I also feel like I say I would like to do something (stop cursing, stop judging) and then I forget about those things when the situation pops up. I really must make an effort to think before I speak; seriously – no matter who I am around, whether it be my best friend or worst enemy, I’ve gotta stop the foul language and harsh judgments. No one deserves to be talked about or gossiped in a mean way behind his or her back. It’s not nice, and it won’t bring me forward. Well, it’s four in the morning again and I have yet to sleep (as usual).

Hope all you people in the world are having a wild time!

SUMMAAAA Tuesday, Jul 8 2008

Alright, so I’ve gotten a few things done these past few days! I got around to seeing Wanted. Wow, seriously it is one of the BEST action flicks I have ever seen. There was lots of violence and blood, but really, what else could I expect? I also got around to seeing the finale of A Shot at Love 2. hahaha, I’m so behind, but anyway, WUT! Good ending. Well, not good for Tila but, good entertainment wise. A Shot at Love 3 coming? I would so watch it, no matter how disgusting it may be.

I heard about this new outlet that opened up about an hour away, and thankfully so did my mother! My parents and I took a drive and checked it out! I love it love it love it. I bought a load of stuff, which did not make my mother happy since you know, it’s her money and everything. =P I mostly bought a lot of shoes. I LOVE shoes. Some people collect rocks, belly button lint, or stamps – I collect shoes! I hate track sometimes, but I secretly love shopping for new spikes, haha. WOOOOOO FUN. I think I might be a sunglass collector also. Hopefully someday I’ll be able to afford those ridiculously expensive ones…or just get a knockoff!

So tomorrow I’m going to my friend Valerie’s birthday party, and I was really looking forward to playing on her slip and slide but my little “red friend” just had to visit. =( Ugh, what makes it worse is I have developed a slight rash on my face from some unknown symptom. I’ll be sitting by her pool wearing a cowboy hat and lots and lots of sunscreen developed for sensitive skin. Yay me! I haven’t gotten around to making her present yet. I’ve gotten all the materials I need but I just don’t know what to do. What do you call that? Present block? (Like writer’s block) Okay that was lame hahaha!

Later this week, I’ll hopefully be going to Chick-Fil-A dressed up like a cow hahaha. My dad thinks it’s ridiculous, since I’m the type of person who will probably spend more money making the outfit than on the meal itself! Whatever, I’m sure it will be lots of fun.

Then Saturday or Sunday, I’ll be going to another birthday party. I have NO idea what to get her. I am the worst gift giver of all time. I love giving funny presents though. I remember for her 16th or 17th I gave her a PMS kit. We all need one of those. :)

Alright, I’m out.

Hermés’ Menswear Designer – Veronique Nichanian: Thursday, May 15 2008

1. The right proportion and fit are a matter of centimeters—millimeters, really. When you choose clothes that are perfect for you, you feel strong, comfortable, and more self-confident.

2. Style is a question of charm, not nationality. It’s not true that French men have more allure or style than American men. It’s just that they dress with more personality. They don’t follow dress codes, and sometimes they mix things in a way they shouldn’t. Like how Serge Gainsbourg dressed, with his reptile shoes with jeans and blazer and white shirt—that’s charm.

3. For a weekend away, a man should bring a simple shirt, two cashmere sweaters, three polos, and one pair of jeans. For shoes, either sandals or light leather moccasins—just the essentials.

4. In relationships, you must show proof of love and do something passionate. I once had a boyfriend fly from New York to Paris just to have dinner with me. It was very smart.

5. Age is not important. A man, no matter if he’s 20 or 60, can wear a tee and jeans if he has the right body.

6. You should have one watch for the weekend, one for the week, one for suits, one for sport. I love watches. Watches are for men what perfume is for women. They are very personal, and you can wear them according to your mood.

7. Wearing a scarf is about attitude. A man should just wrap one around his neck, maybe two times—but not tightly like women do. It should be nonchalant.

8. Men make a mistake when they follow fashion instead of their own personality or their own body. When they dress in a very slim shape even if they don’t have the right body, it’s all wrong. It’s awful. With my husband, I tell him, ‘Stay yourself and I’ll take care of you.’ He’s the most spoiled man in Paris.

9. You can never have too many cashmere sweaters. There are so many kinds of fits and colors. You should have a lightweight one for summer and a heavier one for winter. Whether you wear darker colors like navy or brighter ones like green or yellow can depend on the way you wake up.

10. The most timeless article of clothing a man can have is a leather piece. An Hermès leather bomber.
